Taxonomy did your students reach? Explain the activities that support these areas of

Bloom?s Taxonomy. Use the literature provided in course resources and/or outside

resources to support your reasoning for each strategy.

Remembering and recall will deal with the pre and posttest assessment.

Analyzing will be watching tutorials online and reading information on basketball

player?s skills and seeing how they can apply some of the things they learn to their

own game.

?????

How will you group students for instruction (individual, small group, large group, or whole

class)? Explain your rationale.

Students will practice basic skills such as dribbling in place individually then progress

to small group shooting and dribbling lines. The small groups may be pairs of 2 or

groups of 4. The large groups will focus more on defense, shooting, and rebounding.

These groups will be in sizes of 10 just like a game. Whole class will be difficult if

numbers are over 20. If under 20, students could play 5 on 5 on each side of the court

for 20 playing at a time. Classes over 20 will have to use a rotation of teams on and off

Why did you choose this assessment(s)? How do the chosen assessment(s) help you determine

if your students met the goals/objectives? In your answer, provide a rationale for each

assessment you plan to use and its connection with each of your standard(s) and objective(s).

Be sure and link each assessment piece to a specific objective. Make sure you collect student

work samples that can be included as appendices. What do your pre-assessment, formative

assessments, and summative assessments tell you about the learning of your group of P-12

students?

A test will check for understanding of rules. The observation will note progress and

physical understanding of the skills. A research paper will connect the students to a

current basketball player.

?????

How will you use this assessment data to inform your instruction? Use current literature (within

the last five years) to support your rationale.

????? DIFFERENTIATION

styles when

writing your

response. 5. LEARNERS

How will you differentiate curriculum to meet diverse student needs? List

and explain at least two ways that you differentiated the curriculum to

meet diverse student needs.

Students may need different size balls or smaller groups in order to

get more practice in. Students that already have some background

skills may be spread out in groups to assist others. In researching,

some students may need more time on the computers than others.

Some may need a copy of the pretest to study for the posttest.

?????

List and explain at least two ways that you differentiated the instruction to

meet diverse student needs.?

I may spend more time in one group if it is noticed they are not

picking up on a skill others are. I can also go back and demonstrate

skills multiple days in a row myself or show videos of a certain skill.

to meet diverse student needs.?

may be accommodated for students with IEP?s

??? DIVERSITY 5. LEARNERS

How will you address the needs of diverse students (e.g., IEP, 504,

readiness level, cultural/linguistic background)? Choose one diverse

population and explain how you addressed their special needs.

IEPs- Students may need extra time to complete assignments and

extensions on deadlines. Students may also get a study guide or

copy of any class materials that will help them on the test. Students

may be allowed to re-test and have those tests accommodated and

read aloud by a resource teacher.

????? Student Work

Samples As you implement your Instructional Plan with a group of P-12 students,

collect pre-assessment data to help you create your plan, formative

assessment data so you can make sure your students are reaching your

Learning Outcomes and Objectives, and summative assessment data so

you have evidence of student mastery. You need to compare the three

types of data as part of your final reflection on this lesson. Important Note for EDUC 6640 and EDUC 6602: A performance task and a rubric

should be a part of the lesson plan. In the past, this has been added as an Appendix to

the instructional plan.
