 1- Imagine that somehow several tests were put into folders and labeled and then it was determined that two folders (next to each other pile)were not labeled. Note, the tests were either Test A or Test B from several classes. 2- Use box and whisker plots and confidence intervals to determine if these folders are likely from the same class. Use 18.13 as your sigma (?). 3- Check for outliers before you draw your boxplots (use your calculator and see what it shows). If there is an outlier we remove it for calculations, but still show it. 4- Based on your two Confidence Intervals- 95% (CI) are these folders likely from the same class? How did you decide? 5- Based on the shape of the data (look at a histogram), would the mean be a good measure to use? What are the means and standard deviations for these samples.
