Some examples of MNCs (multinational corporations) would be Nike, General Motors, Ford, Qwest, and Fender Music. Research its effects on local culture. Write a summary and analysis of 500-750 words and include the following:

1. How does global stratification impact local culture? What are the positive and negative effects? 2. How does global stratification impact the United States? What are the positive and negative effects? 3. Who is the biggest "winner" in this situation? Explain.

Alex Miller GOLBALIZATION: A CLOSER LOOK AT FENDER MUSIC Globalization is the process of integration and interaction among the companies, people

and governments of various countries, arising from international trade and investments and aided

by global exchange of information (Bergesen & Bata, 2015). Globalization significantly affects

local culture. The interchange of ideas and views globally has caused a major transformation in

the living standards and lifestyles of people of various cultural backgrounds. The emergence of

globalization has caused people to loosen their grip of their traditions and cultural heritages. One

of the positive results of globalization on culture is access to new cultural products like

education, entertainment, and art. Infusion of new culture products with those than an individual

has broadens his perspective on important issues like tolerating cultural diversity. However,

globalization may cause adverse outcomes like cultural to colonialism and cultural imperialism.

Strong nations with wealth may use media to impose its culture on weaker nations.

Globalization stratification is the hierarchical arrangement of people and groups around

the globe. In the United States, stratification is done according to wealth and power (Hirst,

Thompson & Bromley,2015). This has attracted people across the globe to desire to migrate into

the United States, where they hope to ascend the clearly defined wealth and power strata. One

benefit of stratification is the development of industrialization. For instance, the immigrants into

the United States, provide cheaper labor in manufacturing plants and provide a market for the

products at the same time. However, global stratification has negative impacts like social

inequality.

Globalization has more benefits compared to global stratification. A society may gain

tremendous economic advantages from global stratification at the expense of social and cultural

benefits. For instance, a child of wealthy people gains better education than their poor

counterpart, therefore propagating social inequality. On the other hand, globalization balances social, economic and cultural benefits (Sassen,2015). People do not have to move to

economically stronger countries. Instead, they interact with the rest of the world at their homes.

Therefore, the information they access helps them to advance their economic, social and cultural

spheres. The historical form of globalization is military conquest. For instance, the Assyrian

Empire in biblical time were used to impose punishment upon the children of Israel for their

disobedient to (God) as they were taken into captive. The Assyrian were globalists in that they

were bend on world conquest. God used the Assyrians to punish and exile the ten northern tribes

of Israel for their wicked things Israel did to provoke the Lord to anger (2 Kings 17).

Furthermore, the bible shows that any time man attempts (globalization) it is ruled by wicked,

ungodly empires that society should oppose globalization to the extent that people understand

that it is implemented by Satan, currently the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:4). References
